I thought it would be useful in light of our current special offer to let those of you who don't know yet, what Microdermabrasion is and what it's great for!
Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that uses fine crystals and a vacuum to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells from the outer layer. Although microdermabrasion is most well known as a facial treatment, it can be used on most areas of your body such as your face, neck, chest, back and hands, if they require exfoliation. This safe procedure is designed to reduce fine lines, minor scars, wrinkles, sun damage and age spots to make your skin smoother and younger looking.
The treatment uses a stream of non-allergenic crystals (crystal microdermabrasion) to remove your skin’s outermost layers of dead cells. Your therapist will use a handheld device to direct the stream of crystal over the treatment area and, where necessary, target specific zones. The handset then uses a mild suction to draw away the crystal and skin debris to reveal your new and improved complexion.
Microdermabrasion removes the top layers of the skin called the stratum corneum. Similarly to brushing your teeth, microdermabrasion helps to remove the debris from your skin. Human skin regenerates at 30 day intervals and regular microdermabrasion treatments performed every 7-10 days (which is what we recommend during a course of treatment) will ensure continued improvement for your skin concerns.
The SkinBase™ Facial is chemical free and non-invasive yet achieves amazing results revealing younger, healthier looking skin from the very first treatment. The skin’s appearance is further improved through increased collagen & elastin production as your body produces a new layer of skin.
No recovery time is required after having microdermabrasion and most people return to daily activity immediately following a session.
The SkinBase Facial™ targets a whole multitude of ‘skin sins’. Microdermabrasion treatments can be used for anything from stretch marks, fine lines, acne scarring and dull, tired skin to ageing skin, uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
So there we have it! Microdermabrasion is great for everyone and will treat a variety of skin issues for you and leave your skin, healthy, glowing and renewed. We highly recommend a course of treatments to see the best results.
You will require a patch test and consultation before treatment so then we can advise what the most suitable course would be for you. In general 6 treatments at 7 - 10 day intervals are the best for your initial treatment, then once a month to maintain (this is all dependant on your skin type and what you are wanting it for and will be discussed with you at your consultation).
So if this sounds like the treatment you are looking for get yourself booked in for a free patch test and consultation now so then you are all ready to go while our Special Offer is running. Please also send us a message or give us a call if you have any questions
